Description

As an Estimator, you will be involved in the following:

  • Working in a team environment using our industry software
  • Experience with Cubit and Estimate One software is required.
  • Identifying which trades and suppliers are required per project.
  • Complete all Estimating requirements and must produce accurate documentation within budget timelines.
  • Cost management materials and trades throughout the construction process.
  • Attending meetings with Clients/Project Managers and Site staff while maintaining great relationships.
  • Identify potential risks/ issues at tender time.
  • Initial tender compilation analysis.
  • Knowledge of building practices and project sequencing.

To be successful in this role, the following skills are needed:

  • Qualifications in Building and Construction Management or Quantity Surveying studies, or similar.
  • 3 years Minimum Estimating experience
  • Proficient in current software of Cubit, Microsoft, Excel and word
  • Produce trade cost analysis
  • Mathematical minded
  • Knowledge of construction types
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Effective time management and attention to detail.
  • Practical industry or trade experience is essential.
  • Understanding of Construction Documentation plans, specifications and finishes schedules. .
  • Experience in tender process and trade procurement.
  • Take ownership and be open to feedback.
