About Us
The Extension Guys are specialists in home extensions, garage conversions, and glazing installations across Cheshire and Greater Manchester. With growing demand, we are looking for an experienced Estimator / Project Consultant who can meet clients on-site, prepare accurate quotes, and help turn enquiries into confirmed projects.
The Role
This is a client-facing role where you’ll represent the company at site visits, assess projects, prepare detailed quotes, and follow up enquiries. You’ll need a mix of construction knowledge, estimating skills, and sales ability to build strong relationships and secure work.

Responsibilities

• Attend site visits and meet homeowners to discuss their projects.
• Assess site conditions and review drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Produce detailed quotations for home extensions, garage conversions, and glazing projects.
• Explain quotes clearly to clients, answer queries, and build trust.
• Follow up enquiries and maintain strong client communication throughout the sales process.
• Work closely with directors, surveyors, and project managers to hand over successful jobs.
• Maintain records of site visits, quotes, and conversions in the company system.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role in residential building.
• Strong technical knowledge of materials, labour, and construction methods.
• Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Full UK driving licence – willing to travel to client sites across the North West.
• Organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple enquiries.
• IT literate (Excel, email, quoting systems).

Desirable

• Experience in extensions, garage conversions, or glazing.
• Sales or business development background.
• Local knowledge of suppliers and subcontractors.

Pay: £31,805.88-£69,425.49 per year
