JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. This role is critical in ensuring accurate pricing and cost control throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to the overall success of our construction projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and subcontractors.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with cost control practices within the construction industry is preferred.
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.

• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create accurate project estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment between estimated costs and project budgets.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimating.
• Monitor ongoing project costs and provide recommendations for cost control measures.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
• Assist in the preparation of bids for new projects, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
