Are you ready to take your estimating skills to the next level? Wolgast Corporation, a leading construction provider specializing in Design/Build, Construction Management, and General Construction, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or other related field highly desired.
  • Estimating experience in commercial construction.
  • Practical knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, contracts, coding systems, etc.
  • Advanced computer proficiency with MS Office and estimating software (e.g., Roktek, Plan Swift, Bluebeam).
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The estimator is responsible for gathering, calculation, and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates to ensure client expectations and company standards are met and exceeded.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs for diverse project scopes.
  • Prepare estimates for self-performed work, including site work, excavation, footings & foundations, interior and exterior concrete, rough framing, and interior finishes.
  • Develop budget estimates for design/build projects.
  • Engage in conceptual estimating and value engineering by reviewing construction drawings.
  • Coordinate the entire estimating process for various project an bid types (hard, conceptual, and negotiated).
  • Assist in crafting comprehensive project updates and bid packages.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation to support estimating figures.
  • Present compelling project estimates and Schedules of Values to clients.
