Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Field Coordinator to join our team!
Parsons / Colas Canada is adding a Field Coordinator with structures and facilities experience to support the delivery of the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT Project. The Coordinator works closely with the project team to coordinate the project to the satisfaction of the client, consistent with the costs, schedule, and contractual requirements. Will be responsible for coordination of all production requirements related to concrete, including but not limited to safety, quality, administration, scheduling, cost controls, client/ subcontractor/ craft communication and management. The ideal candidate will have a structural background or LRT experience.
WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 3+ years of experience in field construction is required.
- Health & Safety related training applicable to construction sites
- Minimum 2+ years of progressive construction project management and/or site supervision experience (i.e., civil, commercial, industrial, residential, new construction projects, tenant improvements, renovation, additions). Canadian / Alberta experience preferred.
- Must be available for evening/night and week-end work as required.
- Understanding of construction industry standards and operations (i.e., construction specifications, building materials, methods, and procedures).
- Construction project management experience in high security environment is
- Must have experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Project, Outlook). P6 Professional knowledge and experience an asset.
- Team leadership, including assessing and providing feedback on job performance to sub-trades and direct reports.
- Problem solving / conflict resolution and sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to visualize the entire project, anticipate issues and implement solutions in collaboration with Project Team.
- Attention to detail, specifically quality control to minimize deficiencies in real-time.
- Time management and organizational skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including active listening and interpersonal skills.
- Going above and beyond attitude (strong work ethic.)
- Work well in a fast pace and high-pressure environment
- Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions.
