Description This position serves as a management position mainly for services in the field used to support a wide variety of tasks for our organization. Job duties will vary considerably from day to day as this is a very diverse position. Currently this role would have a focus on teams working on Construction Projects, previous experience and hands on experience is a plus. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Direct crews to safely work in potentially hazardous environments. Assist the safety department in the implementation of safe working culture. Always put safety of the employees above all else. Ensure a professional working relationship with all customers and their representatives. Responsible for oversight of respective crew and ability to fill in where needed. Mentor crews and direct in a manner that promotes learning and perfecting their craft. Potential to Lift/Carry heavy objects. Proficiently use hand and power tools. General construction and excavation skills. Comprehend plans, ISO’s P&ID’s plot layouts. layout of facility equipment and piping as necessary. ensure employees are properly filling out time tickets. Computer skills, weld/site mapping skills and project red line skills. Mentor SSE employees. Maintain project and tool inventories. other Duties as they are assigned by management. Ability to operate the following equipment safely and effectively. o Backhoe o Telehandler o Skidsteer. o Manlift o Excavators o Loaders o Specialty equipment Foreman 2 includes the above responsibilities as well as the below skills/traits. o Showcases commitment to a safe working culture by conducting, training and leading their teams to a safe working environment. o Ability to maintain project production and schedule based on milestones set forth by the Field operations Supervisor. o Ability to evaluate working scope compared to contracted scope to identify potential change orders. o Assist in building customer relations and procurement of additional work. o Holds an active commercial driver’s license. o Assess scope of work and track change orders accordingly o Proven ability to manage multiple crews on a respective project or location. o Ability to perform competent DOT OQ tasks and ability to complete competent DOT OQ’ testing for qualifications. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position is a supervisory role and will remain accountable to help ensure all co-workers are working in a manner that is conducive to the safety of everyone around. This position will report directly to their respective Superintendent. WORKING CONDITIONS This position will be faced with varying working conditions. Inclement and/or extreme weather may be a factor as well as other unforeseen conditions. The potential for long hours and varying shifts may also exist. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Must be able to come to work promptly, regularly, and on-time. Able to follow instruction and carry out duties while unsupervised. Work proficiently with tools and equipment. Willing to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Capable of openly communicating ideas and problems Valid driver’s license and insurability is required. PEC safeland or equivalent qualifications (OSHA 10, 30) Ability to use basic Microsoft products (word, excel, power point, outlook) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at frequent intervals, 100 pounds at regular intervals, and heavier weights in team situations with proper technique to prevent injury. Must be able to quickly and safely move across a work site, typically loose ground or uneven terrain. Must be able to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay, squat in order to maintain equipment or make appropriate adjustments for tasks in the field. Possess the manual dexterity to perform detail work at regular intervals. Possess the visual acuity to complete detailed tasks at regular intervals.
