  • Minimum 2 year Construction Supervisory related experience
  • Minimum 5 years Construction work experience
  • Or; an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

The Construction Foreman assists the Superintendent in organizing the overall construction of a particular project including all resources such as: financial, manpower, materials, equipment and time.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This incumbent performs a wide range of duties, assisting the Superintendent, including some or all of the following:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, consultant field reviews etc.
  • Provide continuity of work, delegate, and organize Trade Contractors to meet project milestones;
  • Delegate tasks and mentor employees under supervision;
  • Ensure Factions safety policy is being adhered to by all workers on site;
  • Maintain the employee work schedule and process time sheets;
  • Perform carpentry duties as required;
  • Handle employee relations and be the first point of contact for worker communications;
  • Procure and arrange for materials to be at the construction site in a timely fashion;
  • Communicate project progress to the Superintendent and assist with solving day-to-day problems as required;
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; i.e.: reading professional publications, taking courses, etc.;
  • Other duties, as assigned.
