JOB SUMMARY: CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN/FOREWOMAN

New View Designs, an award-winning Design/Build company recognized as one of Fredericton’s leading builders, is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Foreman/Forewoman to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional who wants to contribute to innovative and exciting projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of residential and/or commercial construction processes, and a proven ability to manage all aspects of a project—from inception to completion. The Construction Foreman will be responsible for supervising job sites, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

SKILLS

• Strong supervisory experience with a proven track record in managing construction teams.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, quality control measures, and safety protocols.
• Excellent skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
• Ability to effectively manage budgets while ensuring project efficiency.

• Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate and manage construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task delegation.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to ensure accurate execution of plans.
• Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers on budgeting and estimating costs for materials and labor.
• Train and mentor team members in construction techniques and best practices.
• Resolve any issues that arise during the construction process promptly and effectively.
