CIVIL CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN - COQUITLAM, BC

Ownership and senior project management all possess over 20 years of construction experience. We bring specialized experience to every project we undertake. In addition to general contracting, our scope of expertise encompasses a variety of services under the earth working umbrella. These include excavation and material disposal, site preparation, civil construction, land clearing, demolition, preloading, engineered retaining walls, road and highway construction, marine construction and dredging.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of civil construction experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Leadership skills for effectively delegating tasks to lower-level managers, subcontractors and construction workers
  • Technical skills to interpret construction methods, technologies, contracts, and technical drawings

    - Excellent time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensuring construction phases are completed on time so that the next phase can start

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel
  • Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
  • Manage and mentor employees and contractors
  • Provide adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needs
  • Emphasize safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets and procedures
  • Manage project quality standards for sites
  • Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably

    - Regularly report project status to supervisors, site engineers and other officials
