Westfalia Fruit Estates, situated in Tzaneen, has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced: Construction Foreman Purpose of the role: Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, the Construction Foreman will be responsible for managing, supervising, guiding and advising subordinates in terms of construction related activities. Other tasks include attending to service requests, management of material, finances and quality of these requests as well as the management of the construction machinery. Candidate is also responsible for general structural, building (Industrial, village and management housing), water infrastructure and road maintenance throughout the operation. Key Responsibilities: Installing water supplies a drainage Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, including plumbing, painting, carpentry and on different sites Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors, and labourers Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards Interpret and work from technical drawings, plans, and specifications Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Conduct regular site inspections and report on progress Manage materials, equipment, and resource allocation efficiently Knowledge of and ability to utilize heavy machinery and construction vehicles Education: Diploma in civil engineering and construction or relevant qualification Experience: 3-5 years’ experience managing on a civil and agricultural construction Candidate must have a valid driver’s license Behavioural Competencies: Self-motivated, hardworking, and energetic Good communication both written and verbal Integrity, passion for work, excellence and success A service-oriented individual that can work under pressure and in a team environment Have good analytical skills, be able to motivate a team and be a strong leader.
