About the Role: As a Construction Health and Safety Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring that the workplace complies with all safety and work environment regulations during the construction phase. You will coordinate safety activities among all contractors, monitor the site for risks and accidents, and act as a vital person in preventing potential hazards. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can quickly manage safety-critical situations to protect workers and others on-site. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and ensure that all contractors comply with safety regulations and work environment rules according to Swedish law. Maintain and update the Work Environment Plan (WEP) for the construction site. Conduct regular safety inspections on-site to identify and mitigate any potential risks. Follow up on incidents and accidents, conducting investigations and taking appropriate actions. In case of immediate danger to life or health, have the authority to stop work to ensure safety. Lead safety meetings and training sessions for all personnel on-site. Communicate effectively with both management and operational staff to ensure safety standards are met. Requirements: Education and experience as a Bas-U or other relevant safety qualifications within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of Swedish work environment regulations and building standards. Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations. Strong communication skills with experience working collaboratively with various stakeholders on-site. Experience in construction site safety, preferably with experience in large-scale projects.
