JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and developing our safety culture at our construction sites. This role requires strong knowledge of occupational health and safety laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to implement effective safety programs.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience in construction safety or a related field is a bonus.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Proficiency with computers, word, excel, emails, apps
· First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
· Ability to conduct safety training sessions effectively.
· Ability to manage one’s own time.
· Capable of acquiring a Government of Canada security clearance
· Must have valid driver’s license, to drive a company vehicle.
· Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific health and safety policies and procedures.
· Conduct orientations for all new workers.
· Conduct daily PSI, Pre Job Safety Inspections, with supervisors to build safety culture.
· Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
· Identify and assess potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventive measures.
· Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for on site employees and subcontractors.
· Ensure all workers, including subcontractors, adhere to safety standards and wear appropriate PPE.
· Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training sessions, and safety meetings.
· Liaise with regulatory agencies (WSIB) and ensure compliance with local, and industry safety standards.
· Assist in developing emergency response plans and conducting drills.
· Work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and employees to promote a safety-first culture.
· Develop our CORFIX safety platform.
