Description Title: CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION INTERN Department: Construction Inspection Reports To: Construction Manager I or Construction Manager II Education: Candidate must be currently enrolled in Civil Engineering or Construction Management/Technology at an accredited college or university Registration: None Required Experience: Entry level position Duties: Work under the direct supervision of the Construction Manager Serve as the liaison between the Construction Manager and the Contractor Consult with the Construction Manager for interpretation and clarification of the project plans and specifications. Able to maintain a journal and complete all daily field inspection reports Willing to be trained and mentored Perform other duties as assigned Skills: Must possess good interpersonal skills Must possess good communication skills Must possess good organizational skills Requirements Physical Requirements: Able to work 8 or more hours per workday Able to work 40 or more hours per work week, as needed Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions traversing uneven or difficult terrain Able to travel throughout Indiana including overnight stays Other Requirements: Possess a valid Indiana Driver’s License Agree to abide by the personnel policies identified in the Company Policy
Responsibilities
The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Construction Manager and serve as a liaison between the Construction Manager and the Contractor. They will also consult with the Construction Manager for project plan interpretations and maintain daily field inspection reports.
