Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking full time Construction Inspectors for our Alliance, OH office. Prior experience is a plus, but not necessary. We will provide training! Construction Inspector Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Observe and document construction activities to assure compliance with technical specifications Monitor and test the moisture and density of soils using a nuclear density testing gauge Testing of concrete for slump, air content and unit weight Testing of asphalt for temperature and compaction Assist laboratory and drilling personnel as requested Use civil drawings, project specifications and geotechnical reports effectively Complete daily reports, testing documents, timesheets and expense reports completely and in a timely manner Handle and maintain company assigned equipment The workday begins at 7am with likely overtime. Salary is paid on an hourly basis for actual hours worked. Overtime is paid at a rate of 1.5 times the hourly rate when the total weekly hours exceed 40 hours. Mileage reimbursement is provided (at the current IRS reimbursement rate). Must have a reliable vehicle able to transport testing equipment on construction sites, good driving record, like working with people, and enjoy working outdoors. GTA will provide you with Personal Protective Equipment, which includes High Visibility Vest, Hard Hat, Gloves, and Safety Glasses.
