We’re seeking a Construction Job Cost Analyst with a strong accounting background to help manage the financial aspects of our construction projects. If you have hands-on experience in construction / project accounting, are detail-oriented, and ready to take on job cost analysis, we want you on our team!
This in-office role requires an individual who is highly organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Thirty (30) hours per week, with potential for full time if desired.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Construction background with experience in job cost analysis
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with project managers and team members
• Familiarity with construction accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.
• Tech savvy

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with BuilderTrend is a plus!
• Experience with lien waiver management and insurance documentation (preferred)

• Analyze and track job costs for construction projects
• Monitor project budgets and report variances
• Manage job cost entries and track labor/material costs
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable related to projects
• Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking
• Support financial tracking through project management platforms
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate project financials
• Maintain a project related filing system
• Produce timely, accurate and reliable invoice entries while maintaining proper coding and cost center assignments
• Support accountant & management in meeting project management outcomes
