OVERVIEW

DS Jordan is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Junior Project Manager (PM) to play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of construction projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, values organization and collaboration, and demonstrates a high level of professionalism in client and team interactions.
Working directly under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager, the Junior PM will contribute to all phases of project planning and execution—including estimating, budgeting, bidding, scheduling, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about construction who is looking to build a long-term career with a fast-paced, growing company.
Please take note: The majority of the assigned projects are restaurant focused, restaurant construction experience is required for consideration. This is a hybrid position with half remote work and half weekly travel to visit Senior Project Managers in South and Central Florida required. Candidates must be willing to travel by car weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ administrative or project support experience within the construction, engineering, or architecture industries. Restaurant construction experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Timberline, and Microsoft Project is essential.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling, budgeting, and document control systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to team success.
  • Customer-focused with a dedication to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in project setup, including job folder creation, plan reproduction, and document management.
  • Maintain and organize records for incoming project opportunities and track all relevant documentation.
  • Prepare, distribute, and manage bid packages and related documents.
  • Engage subcontractors and suppliers regarding bid solicitations and project participation.
  • Coordinate the collection and organization of bids to support accurate cost estimating.
  • Support permitting and regulatory processes by coordinating with local government authorities. Track and manage submittals, change orders, construction schedules, and distribution of updated documents.
  • Arrange travel, accommodations, and logistics for project team members, including Superintendents and Project Managers.
  • Schedule project meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and distribute documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provide general administrative and project support as required by the business.
