About the role Installs and removes piers, boat lifts, and accessories from shore and water using hand tools and machinery. This role is essential to the construction, maintenance, and repair of marine structures. The work involves performing labor-intensive tasks while prioritizing safety and the ability to work effectively in diverse weather conditions and challenging environments. What you'll do Assist in the construction, maintenance, and dismantling of docks, piers, and other marine structures. Load, unload, identify, and distribute building materials and equipment as needed for daily operations. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, ensuring all tools are maintained and stored properly. Perform routine checks and maintenance on small boats and assist in the operation of barges. Follow safety procedures for all tasks, especially those requiring the use of personal flotation devices and other safety gear. Participate in the setup and removal of scaffolding and temporary structures at the job sites. Clean and prepare sites, including removing debris and waste materials from barges and waterways. Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, which may include tasks on land or water. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver’s license required. CDL A preferred. Previous experience in a marine or construction environment is highly advantageous. Ability to swim and comfort working on or near water. Familiarity with hand tools, basic carpentry, and machinery. Ability to perform labor-intensive tasks repeatedly and stand for long periods. Steel toe boots are required. Travel Requirements: Travel to jobsites is required.
