JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled labourer / Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating various types of heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment on construction sites and has hand in experience with construction labour. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with Caterpillar machinery.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with commercial driving is preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction practices and safety standards.
  • Ability to operate various types of machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and paving equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and paving machines.
  • Perform horizontal drilling and other specialized tasks as required.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete construction projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any maintenance performed.
  • Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
