We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Manager to oversee the on-site activities of industrial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the construction phase of projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to develop and manage multiple teams with a deep understanding of the construction process.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager in industrial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management, quality and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Journeyperson certification in a skilled trade, CET, or other relevant recognized certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Site Management: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the construction site to ensure work progresses according to the project schedule and plan.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site personnel while developing a team mentality.
  • Safety Compliance: Lead, Advise, Mentor and when required enforce adherence to health and safety policies and ensure the site maintains a safe working environment.
  • Quality Control: Support, coach, and promote the quality program to ensure it meets company and client standards.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track construction milestones and adjust schedules as needed to keep the project on track.
  • Cost Management: Monitor project expenditures to ensure they remain within the established budget and report on financial performance.
  • Problem Solving: Address issues and resolve conflicts that arise on-site to avoid delays and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Communication: Maintain strong communication with the project manager, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and progress is well-documented.
  • Labour Management: Manage and develop the workforce, work with senior Management to minimize and resolve issues.
