HRG is seeking a skilled and proactive Construction/Facilities Superintendent to coordinate and oversee daily on-site activities for all remodel projects. This role involves managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry and general maintenance skills, thrives in a dynamic environment, and excels at leading teams and subcontractors to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities: Project Coordination and Management Supervise and manage daily on-site work for all remodel projects. Develop and maintain project schedules to efficiently coordinate subcontractor activities, minimizing restaurant closure times. Self-perform as much of the work as possible during remodel projects to optimize resources. Ensure project punch lists are completed before turnover, with all inspections successfully passed. Deliver projects on time and under budget while maintaining high standards of quality. Team Leadership and Accountability Hold subcontractors accountable for delivering work as bid, ensuring quality through completion and the warranty period. Lead daily morning meetings with the project crew to align on goals and tasks. Hire, train, and manage construction workers as needed to support project objectives. Site Inspections and Compliance Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure adherence to safety standards, and resolve on-site issues in real time. Ensure all local, state, and national codes and regulations are followed. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, including daily logs and progress reports. Maintenance and Repair Perform facility maintenance during remodel downtime, addressing building repairs such as drywall, ceiling grids, exterior siding, painting, caulking, and other interior or exterior improvements. Respond to emergency repair calls (e.g., board-up services) as needed. Professional Development and Vendor Engagement Attend training sessions with vendors to expand the scope of repair and maintenance work the team can perform internally. Use construction management software and tools to streamline project operations and reporting. Requirements: Extensive experience in the construction industry, ideally in a supervisory or management role. Familiarity with construction drawings, approved plans, and quality control processes. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD, BIM) is a plus. Strong carpentry and handyman-level expertise in building, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs. Demonstrates excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Excels at motivating and managing teams to meet project objectives. Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work Environment and Expectations: Must be available for weekend, evening, and overnight work to minimize disruptions to business operations.
