Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing The Renewable Construction team is responsible for detailed design, procurement (including strategy, contract preparation, tendering, negotiations and award of key contracts), site construction works, commissioning and handover of Meridian’s new generation sites. The team works closely with iwi, stakeholders, consultants, suppliers, regional authorities, contractors and other teams within Meridian. This role if for the Construction Manager for the Te Rere Hau Wind Farm Repowering project. In this role you will: Lead the safe, healthy, and sustainable delivery of the Te Rere Hau Wind Farm Repowering project, ensuring all site activities protect people and the environment. Manage all construction aspects on site, including earthworks, civil works, buildings, electrical systems, control systems, SCADA, and ICT services, through to handover to our Generation Team. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. Support the Senior Project Manager in delivering the Te Rere Hau project on time and within budget, including accurate cost and progress reporting, risk management, and contract administration. Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure or engineering projects, ideally in large technical capital project environments. Skilled in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing contractors, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach. Strong coordination and integration abilities across multiple workstreams, with confidence in planning, reporting, and operational handover. Ability to speak up when something isn’t right or doesn’t seem right, to capture and resolve issues prior to crystalising a cost, time delay or reputational issue.
