Job description:
You won't simply be taking over an existing area of responsibility; you'll be helping to build it.
At BBP, deconstruction and waste management have previously been handled on a project basis. Now, we are developing it as an integral part of our work. To this end, we are seeking experienced professionals with expertise in deconstruction and waste management. You will contribute your knowledge, develop standards and processes, and share your experience with colleagues.
This position combines planning and practical experience: you will primarily work on planning and conceptualization, but will remain closely connected to the construction site through the supervision and monitoring of deconstruction work. You will create deconstruction and disposal concepts, manage tenders, and conduct on-site inspections to ensure that demolition is carried out professionally and in accordance with the plans. Our projects primarily focus on non-hazardous construction and demolition waste.
At BBP, six specialist disciplines work together under one roof as a general planner. You will become part of our seven-person structural diagnostics team and work on a variety of existing buildings: from residential buildings to schools and upper secondary schools, and even police stations. We are a team of 75 colleagues and have been supporting demanding new construction and renovation projects for over 35 years.
Start date: October 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Here's how you can contribute your expertise
: - You will develop deconstruction and disposal concepts for existing buildings and plan selective deconstruction.
- You will assess which building materials can be reused, recycled, or disposed of, taking into account applicable legal and technical requirements.
- You will manage projects within your clearly defined area of responsibility from planning and tendering to implementation, keeping a close eye on costs, deadlines, and quality.
- You will work closely with the structural engineering project management, structural engineering construction supervision, and contractors, coordinating the deconstruction work professionally.
- You will conduct on-site inspections to ensure the planned deconstruction work is being carried out correctly and intervene professionally in case of deviations.
- You will advise project managers and colleagues on all aspects of deconstruction, recycling, and disposal, and share your expertise within the team.
You are the best fit for us if you ...
- come from a civil engineering, environmental engineering or a comparable field, or have relevant practical experience as a construction manager.
- You already have experience with dismantling, demolition, disposal, or construction material recycling and are familiar with the associated legal and technical requirements.
- You are able to develop practical and economical dismantling, recycling, and disposal solutions based on this experience.
- You quickly grasp technical concepts, work in a structured manner, and take responsibility for your tasks.
- You enjoy collaborating with building owners, project managers, construction supervisors, and contractors.
- You are happy to share your knowledge and are interested in helping to build and shape a specialist area.
