As the Construction Manager – Metal Buildings, you will lead field operations, and ensure quality control for metal building construction projects. You will coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities



• Oversee construction of pre-engineered and self-framing metal buildings from site preparation to project closeout
• Mentor crew chiefs, lead hands, and senior/mid/junior metal building erectors
• Manage daily job site activities and labor crews
• Interpret building plans, shop drawings, and structural steel/metal building blueprints
• Ensure proper assembly and installation of metal components (frames, panels, roofing systems)
• Maintain job site safety in compliance with OHSA and company protocols
• Track project timelines, material deliveries, and manpower requirements
• Communicate progress and issues to project managers and stakeholders
• Resolve construction challenges proactively and efficiently
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure alignment with design and building codes
• Maintain accurate documentation including reports, change orders, and inspection logs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on metal or steel building systems
• In-depth knowledge of pre-engineered metal building systems and erection procedures
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction and shop drawings
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency with construction management tools and scheduling software
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
