RK&K is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in Fairfax, VA.  As a Construction Manager on RK&K’s CEI team you will manage complex highway/bridge construction projects and mentor, grow and manage our construction inspection teams.   Essential Function * Manage, build and develop construction inspection teams * Assist on projects and tasks * Ensure direct reports are meeting expectations for the client * Maintain positive client relationships * Responsible for marketing to VDOT NOVA District, Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, and localities * Provide engineering and contract administration on projects * Stay up to date with client policies and procedures and communicate with employees and management * Coordinate and organize personnel needs on multiple contracts, including scheduling, recruiting, training, employee relations issues, new employee orientation, etc. * Conduct quality control checks of inspector and project records managers paperwork * Review monthly invoices from subcontractors * Train staff on safety, new construction techniques, relationships, standards and specifications, etc. * Manage staff utilization by scheduling, monitoring, and revising assignments * Manage financial performance, including monthly earnings, monthly invoicing, AR from assigned clients, and participate in monthly project reviews with senior manager * Assist Senior Leadership with strategic planning to support overall CEI goals * Prepare scope of work and cost estimates for proposals and task orders * Manage contract renewal efforts for existing contracts * Develop and review subcontract agreements for new contracts * Manage staff certifications and support compliance with contract requirements * Perform performance evaluations of direct reports Required Skills and Experience  * Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience * Minimum of 10 years of diversified experience in delivery of infrastructure construction projects in Northern Virginia Preferred Skills and Experience  * Certified Construction Manager (CCM)  * P.E. license * M.S. in Civil Engineering or related field Other Duties  Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
