Job Title: Construction Manager - Contract
Job Location: Washington D.C.
Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a contract based Construction Manager. As a Construction Manager, you will serve as an integral member of our design/build team. This is a contract only position. Qualified candidates need to be located within a 50 mile radius of Washington, D.C.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 8-10 years of Solar and/or EV construction field experience as lead or manager.
  • Ability to approach challenges with a problem solving and analytical approach
  • Demonstrate expertise in various construction skills including material handling, equipment operation, and general civil construction knowledge.
  • Preferred job-related certifications – First Aid/CPR, Safety, Rescue, related field certifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret site plans, construction drawings and scopes of work.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with company motor vehicle policy.
  • Recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to lead, teach and train proper work and safety procedures.
  • Must be able to provide, record and manage paperwork in electronic formats using a computer.
  • Present professional image at all times.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of crews to maximize efficiency.
  • Conduct daily onsite inspections of all field activities
  • Develop and execute efficient construction scheduling of in-house and subcontracted work.
  • Report daily/weekly progress to internal parties with key findings and recommendations.
  • Compile, order and manage materials necessary for job completion
  • Maintain project budgets for labor, materials, and equipment
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors, inspections, punch walks and utility coordination.
  • Ensure safety and quality control requirements to always meet company and OSHA standards
  • Compile all site-specific closeout documentation.
  • Coordinate with customer representative for site related activities. Maintain a positive working relationship with customer representative at all times.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and actively train / promote learning to all your crew members.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles in an operational condition at all times.
