Construction Manager

Main Duties:

  • To define the construction Systems in the form of P&ID’s, Electrical Single line diagrams and the like.
  • Maintain an agreed detailed reporting system in accordance with project requirements.
  • Maintain an effective filing and records retrieval system.
  • Examine, understand and manage construction budget(s).
  • To ensure that construction requirements are realistically quantified and incorporated (and subsequently updated) into the project budgets and planning system.
  • To ensure that the detailed interfaces between engineering and procurement deliverables fit a logical sequence that suits the commissioning and start-up requirements.
  • To ensure that Arcadis Health, Safety, Environment, Security (HSES) and quality policy is understood and implemented by all supervised staff and project contractors
  • Lead and manage the Arcadis Construction Management team.
  • Provide overall management of the Work Package contractors.
  • Foster and maintain a collaborative relationship between the client team and Arcadis CMT.
  • Conduct collaborative constructability reviews (focusing on Logistics, HSES, Quality, Contract strategy, Work packages, Schedule and Risk) and produce a constructability report to support project goals.
  • Work with Arcadis templates to generate project specific construction management plans.
  • To ensure that the project achieves its objectives in respect of HSES, quality, cost and schedule.
  • Agree, establish and maintain effective communication and co-ordination between construction site(s) and home office task force/departments.

Summary:

  • Retrofit project with a Biopharma client in south Dublin area
  • 10 years minimum of overall lead Construction Manager experience is required
  • Experience of managing projects in a live Biotech / Pharma environment is essential.
