Position overview We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Construction Manager to join our team and help lead the successful execution of various construction projects from start to finish. The Construction Manager will lead the development and construction of a new industrial sand processing facility in Bruderheim, Alberta. The successful candidate will oversee all on-site construction activities, manage contractors and subcontractors, maintain project schedules and budgets, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and drive the project from early works through commissioning. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong industrial or heavy-industrial construction experience Construction Manager Responsibilities: Lead all phases of construction for the industrial sand plant, including site preparation, civil works, structural, mechanical, and electrical installations. Manage daily on-site operations and ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare progress reports, documentation, and project updates for senior leadership. Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and construction crews; evaluate performance and resolve issues proactively. Develop, maintain, and track detailed project schedules and budgets. Coordinate procurement, delivery, and installation of equipment and materials. Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. Construction Manager Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in construction management, site management, or project management in industrial or heavy-industrial environments. PMP, CET, or engineering technician/technology designation. Strong knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction practices. Excellent understanding of Alberta construction regulations, OH&S requirements, and permitting. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites across Edmonton and greater area (some travel within Alberta) Why join SIL?
