Job Description We are seeking a mid-level (5 years + experience) Construction Manager to oversee on-site construction activities for a major PMC project governed under the FIDIC Yellow Book. The successful candidate will ensure that all civil works are executed in compliance with the contract specifications, schedule, and quality requirements. Moreover, the successful candidate should have sufficient electrical engineering knwoledge in order to perform high level management of Electrical Works with the support of the Electrical Team on the Project. Key Responsibilities: Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities to ensure alignment with design documents and project plans. Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in line with design specifications and project requirements. Ensure all works are executed in accordance with the FIDIC Yellow Book contract obligations. Coordinate between contractors, consultants, and project management to resolve technical issues on-site. Review and monitor (sub)contractor performance, work progress, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and construction management to ensure smooth execution of site activities. Report progress, risks, and any non-conformities to the Construction Manager and the Resident Engineer. Maintain site records including daily weather conditions, progress reports, inspections, and test results. Participate in inspections and handover procedures. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and procedures. Performing both routine and non-routine, complex assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations. Decision making with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Following specific, standardized procedures to achieve set results and deadlines Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role on civil construction projects. Proven experience on FIDIC Yellow Book projects (Design & Build / EPC contracts is a must). Strong understanding of civil engineering practices, technical drawings, and specifications. Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team. Fluency in English and Dutch language. Preferred: Certification in Project Management or Construction Supervision. Experience working on infrastructure, industrial, or utility-scale projects. Familiarity with project scheduling tools (Primavera P6/MS Project) is a plus.
