Construction Manager / Construction Supervisor for Commercial Real Estate (m/f/d) in Berlin

Our client, based in Berlin Grünau, has specialized for over 20 years in the management and commercial and technical administration of shopping centers, retail parks, and office properties. This includes the development and implementation of revitalization and optimization concepts, planned and executed by their in-house architecture department. With great dedication and passion, approximately 50 employees at seven locations ensure the successful management of the properties entrusted to them, guiding them through current challenges and preparing them for the future.

We are looking for a Junior or Senior Construction Manager specializing in construction projects in shopping centers and hotels, starting immediately.

Construction Manager / Construction Supervisor for Commercial Real Estate (m/f/d)

They are responsible for the realization of demanding construction projects in shopping centers and hotels managed throughout Germany. These are mostly existing properties, but also sometimes new construction and expansion projects. Their scope of work covers phases 6, 7, and 8 of the HOAI (German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers) for revitalizations, re-leasing, and modernizations.

These are your main tasks:

• They participate in tenders and contracts.
• They create and maintain schedules and cost plans.
• They conduct and document construction meetings and coordinate all project participants such as specialist planners, construction companies, tradespeople and experts.
• They control, monitor, and document construction site processes and execution to ensure quality, deadlines, and costs.
• They monitor safety on the construction site, conduct building inspections according to VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures), and accompany expert and official inspections.
• They handle the verification of invoices, project billing, and related documentation.

You should bring the following:

• Training and professional experience in a skilled trade, e.g. as a drywall installer, carpenter, exhibition stand builder, electrician, etc., or are a civil engineer or have a comparable qualification, e.g. a master craftsman or technician qualification.
• Several years of professional experience: As a senior construction manager, you manage construction sites independently; as a junior construction manager, you will initially be guided and trained by an experienced construction manager.
• Applicable knowledge of building law, fire protection and building construction is important.
• They are proficient in using MS Office and are interested in the digital processing of construction projects.
• They have very good German skills, both spoken and written (at least B2 level), and are willing to travel on business within Germany.
