REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Material Controller or Storekeeper in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, especially for civil, MEP, or finishing works.
  • Familiarity with inventory software (ERP systems preferred).
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in Logistics, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a similar role in construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Material Planning & Coordination:
  • Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Review material requisitions and delivery schedules based on project requirements.
  • Monitor and report on material usage to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Receiving & Inspection:
  • Verify materials received against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Conduct quality checks and report any damages or discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and documentation of received materials.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels in the warehouse/site.
  • Implement inventory control systems and conduct regular stock audits.
  • Issue materials to site personnel as per approved requisitions.
  • Storage & Handling:
  • Ensure safe and organized storage of materials in designated areas.
  • Comply with safety and handling procedures for hazardous or delicate materials.
  • Prevent loss, theft, and wastage of materials.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on material stock, consumption, and movement.
  • Highlight potential shortages or delays to site/project management.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and logs for audits and tracking.
