This is a remote position. 40 hours a week Mon–Fri, Flexible during business hours 6am-6pm CST (1-hour unpaid break) Job Description Step into a critical role where your construction expertise will directly impact project success and company growth. As a Construction Estimator, you’ll be the technical backbone ensuring accurate material calculations and cost estimates across diverse construction projects. This is a high-impact position where precision matters - your work prevents costly errors and drives profitability. You’ll analyze construction plans, interpret blueprints, and perform detailed material takeoffs for drywall and insulation projects, working remotely while collaborating directly with company leadership. This role offers both the challenge of high-stakes estimation work and the satisfaction of contributing to a company’s continued expansion in the construction industry. Responsibilities Perform detailed material takeoffs from construction plans and blueprints for residential and commercial projects Read and accurately interpret construction drawings and technical specifications Calculate precise drywall and insulation material requirements and quantities using Excel Conduct comprehensive material count calculations for project estimation and bidding Prepare professional proposals and documentation for construction bids Support procurement activities including material sourcing and vendor coordination Collaborate directly with company leadership on project planning and estimation strategies Requirements Engineering or architectural background required in estimating and procuring costs of materials Strong ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, plans, and technical drawings Proven experience with construction material estimation and costing methodologies Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex calculations and data management Deep understanding of drywall and insulation installation processes and requirements Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy - estimation errors can impact thousands of dollars in project costs Experience working remotely and managing projects independently Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders Independent Contractor Perks HMO Coverage for eligible locations Permanent work from home Immediate hiring ZR_28103_JOB
