As part of our planned growth, we are looking to recruit additional Construction Materials Laboratory Technicians. Experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
Job Title – Construction Materials Laboratory Technician
Job Type - Full-time, Permanent
Location – Leicester - LE7 3XD
Salary – £25,550 - £28,000 (negotiable depending on experience) + overtime pay
Shift – Day shift patterns between 8:00am to 5:00pm

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Responsible for the preparation and testing of materials for use in new and existing highway construction
• Preparation of Binder and Grading samples
• Riffling/quartering of samples as/when needed
• Stripping and labelling of concrete cubes and cylinders
• Asphalt core preparation
• General housekeeping; Keeping laboratory areas clean and tidy
• Assisting with day-to-day tasks as required by the laboratory team and/or laboratory management
• Working with British and EN Standards to give an accurate report on their compliance.
