Job Summary: * Perform testing on general building sites and facilities * At least 1 year experience as a Construction Material Testing Technician * Interpret project plans and specifications for compliance with project requirements * Perform soil density testing using nuclear gauge in accordance with ASTM and project specifications on site at construction projects * Perform sampling and testing of concrete in accordance with ASTM and project specifications * Prepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities/observations and density calculations and results * Observe proof rolls, undercut operations, and inspect rebar * Test and work in accordance with Company safety policies * Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications * Interact with client representative (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites * Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing data Education/Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent * Ability to drive a company truck, valid driver’s license * Strong attention to detail and organization skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policy * At least 1 ACI Certification Physical Demands * Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., standing and walking as needed over potentially uneven terrain. * Clean driving record and capable of being insured for driving company vehicles * Able to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or cold * Ability to work outdoors in TX weather conditions/extremes and during all shifts as needed We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
