SUMMARY

We are seeking seeking qualified Construction Observers to oversee the construction of improvements to water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, pump stations, water/wastewater facilities, buildings, roads, and drainage facilities for various job sites in Central and Western New York State

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum qualifications include 7-10 years of utility and site construction experience.
• The successful candidate will be familiar with construction documents and will be responsible to ensure that the construction conforms to the information presented in these documents.
• Knowledge of the Phase II stormwater requirements, building construction, and concrete work is a plus.
• Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical knowledge are also helpful.
• Individual should be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills a must.
  Pay Range: $30.00/hour - $38.00/hour
  As of this posting, the estimated hourly pay range for this position is $30.00 – $38.00/hour. Actual hourly rate will be based upon criteria such as experience, qualifications and skill level. We are an EEO Employer.*

• Monitor construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections and assessments throughout the construction process.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address any issues or discrepancies observed on-site.
• Maintain accurate records of observations, inspections, and reports for documentation purposes.
• Assist in coordinating communication between contractors, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Evaluate construction progress and provide feedback to improve efficiency and quality.
