REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a construction planning role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes across a variety of project types.
  • Proficient in industry-standard planning software (e.g. Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, MS Project).
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycle, construction methods, and contractual requirements.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Planner with a proven track record in the construction industry to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and delivery of a diverse range of construction projects, ranging in value from £10,000 to £20 million. Projects will span greenfield developments, civil engineering works, and retail refurbishments, offering a varied and challenging workload.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes for multiple projects at varying stages.
  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to ensure programmes reflect actual site conditions and progress.
  • Use industry-standard planning software to create, update, and manage project timelines and resource allocations.
  • Identify project risks, delays, and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Monitor and report on progress against baseline programmes, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Support tender submissions with planning input and time-related information.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
