Job Summary: The Construction Programmer / Planner will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of groundworks and civils construction processes and the ability to create detailed and realistic project plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in construction planning, preferably in the groundworks and civils sector.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asta Powerproject, Primavera, MS Project).
  • Strong understanding of groundworks and civils construction processes.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules for groundworks and civils projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules as necessary to reflect changes and delays.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Coordinate with site-based and office-based staff, contractors and suppliers to ensure alignment and consistency across all project phases.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to management and clients.
  • Utilise project management software to track and manage project schedules.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in construction planning.
