We are looking for a Project Coordinator who will support our Operations team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be a vital part of the team. Big Block is a fast-growing and dynamic organization, so we are looking for an individual who is eager to have an impact and wants to help the company achieve its goals.

Qualifications, Education and Experiences

  • Previous 2-3 years experience in construction project coordination, experience in residential or a diploma in Architectural Technologies construction is an asset.
  • Proficiency in EXCEL and Microsoft Programs.
  • Blueprint reading skills and the ability to interpret construction plans is a big asset.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Experience in CAD or Revit would be valuable but not necessary .
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in tendering is an asset
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, development and implementation of residential projects, including scope and recommendations, mandatory approvals and ensuring that program mandates are met, and expenditures are within budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project success
  • Assist in maintaining budgets, research, and communicate changes that effect the team.
  • Create, review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures, and manage files.
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Support and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment needed for projects.
  • Facilitate communication between team members.
  • Assist in the tendering process.
