ABOUT SWEAT AND TONIC:

Sweat, recover, connect. Sweat and Tonic (S&T) brings together the best of boutique fitness and wellness, offering the widest collection of expertly programmed yoga, Pilates, HIIT, and indoor cycling group fitness classes under one roof. With premium spa facilities, café, and bar offerings, guests can recharge, recover, and reignite. Relax and rejuvenate in Tonic Spa, S&T’s premium wellness and recovery hub that combines traditional high touch services with high-tech amenities. Tonic House, the multi-functional lounge, workspace, and event venue, inspires social connection, collaboration and innovation. Since opening in 2019, we’ve innovated and expanded our state-of-the art classes across multiple channels: In-studio, Sweat in the Park, Sweat Live, Sweat on Demand, and Sweat on the Roof – a one-of-a-kind, outdoor rooftop fitness studio in the heart of downtown Toronto. In 2023, we opened our first international sister location, Silver Springs, a boutique yoga and Pilates oasis in the heart of Los Angeles, and a new 25,000 sq.ft. immersive fitness & wellness hub in Toronto at The Well. We’re now set to open our third location in Toronto in the prestigious Yorkville neighbourhood. This is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a part of a passionate, dynamic team that is here to disrupt the fitness industry.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re building our Design, Construction & Facilities department to bring our vision to life in-house. This is a rare opportunity to join a young, innovative company at a pivotal moment of growth, and to help shape how our spaces come to life for years to come.
Reporting to the Director of Construction, the Project Coordinator will play a key role in delivering our next location. You’ll be working in a design-driven, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, and where your organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple moving parts will directly contribute to our success. This will be a part-time contract position to start, with the potential for a full-time role in 3-6 months.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Director of Construction in day-to-day project management through construction and opening.
  • Assist with budget tracking, schedule maintenance, and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate with trades, consultants, and vendors to ensure deadlines, design intent, and quality standards are met.
  • Manage procurement of owner-supplied materials such as lighting, furniture, and restaurant equipment, including purchase orders, material tracking, and delivery scheduling.
  • Support the Design & Construction team in maintaining accurate project documentation including RFIs, meeting minutes, and progress updates.
  • Participate in regular site visits to track work against project scope, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Keep projects organized and on track using Procore, MS Projects, and Asana.
  • Work closely with our in-house design team to ensure brand integrity and operational needs are built into every detail.
