ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team for projects in Muskoka. The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the Project Manager and ensuring the smooth execution of projects from start to finish. This role involves coordinating various aspects of project management, including scheduling, resource allocation, communication, and documentation. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication and organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience in project coordination within the construction or real estate development industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in project and construction management software (e.g., Procore).
  • Working towards PMP certification actively or holding PMP certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Assist Project Managers in developing detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate project schedules, track progress, and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure clear and consistent communication.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and project plans.
  • Resource Management: Assist in the allocation and tracking of project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Issue Tracking: Identify and document project risks and issues, and work with the Project Manager to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Budget Monitoring: Assist in tracking project budgets and expenditures to ensure projects remain within financial limits.
  • Quality Control: Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and align with client expectations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving project management processes and suggest enhancements.
