Description Summary: The Construction Project Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Construction Department by overseeing project documentation, coordinating materials and in-kind donation programs, ensuring subcontractor compliance, and?maintaining?consistent communication with homeowners throughout the construction process.? This role also supports utility coordination, Energy Star certification requirements, invoice processing, and collaborates with the Advocacy and Community Engagement Departments to supply grant-related documentation and reporting. The ideal candidate?demonstrates?strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.? Key Responsibilities: Maintain?accurate?project records and statistical data in?Builder Trend.? Document internal processes and procedures to support organizational improvement.? Order material packages based on construction takeoffs.? Verify subcontractor compliance, including W-9s, insurance, and lien waivers.? Review, approve, and process all construction invoices through the construction account.? Coordinate installation and follow-up of public utility services.? Coordinate Energy Star inspections and certifications and ensure required documentation is?completed.? Manage?all aspects of the in-kind program (HFHI and local).? Order in-kind materials through the HFHI online platform?in a timely manner.? Coordinate delivery, receipt, and documentation of all in-kind materials and subcontracted?work.? Maintain?ongoing communication with homeowners?regarding?construction progress and timelines.? Manage and respond to homeowner service requests.? Prepare comprehensive Homeowner Manuals?containing?warranty information, house-specific data, and other required?materials.? Collaborate?with the Development Department to supply documentation, data, and reporting needed for grant applications and grant?compliance.? Requirements QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Proficiency?in?Builder Trend?or comparable construction/project management software.? Ability to read and?modify?residential construction plans.? Basic knowledge of residential construction practices, materials, building codes, and permitting requirements.? Familiarity with Energy Star standards and certification processes (preferred).? Proficiency?in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).? Five?years’ construction management or project management experience.? Active support of Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City’s values:??
