PROJECT MANAGER

As a Project Manager at Hylan Group, you are responsible for managing a portfolio of active commercial and residential renovation construction projects. You are directly responsible for the customers’ satisfaction and resolving matters requiring attention. As a project manager, you will manage the budget, account, and scheduling of projects under your control. You will report to the general manager and work regularly alongside our diverse team of project managers, coordinators, and skilled trades.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Manage project startup, building permits, construction management process
  • Prepare tender process, budgets, construction schedules, progress and monthly reports
  • Acts as a liaison with architects, consulting engineers, subcontractors, and clients
  • Create project schedules, updating them daily
  • Familiarity with billing processes
  • Advise the accounting department of all committed subcontracts and other purchases for projects
  • Process/allocate to appropriate job cost codes all incoming bills and expenses for the projects
  • Arrange and administer client-requested or site condition required extra work or changes to scope of work
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings with internal team and site walkthrough with customers.
  • Participate in monthly project reviews with production manager, assisting with preparation of monthly cost report
  • Preparing quotations for current and prospective clients
  • Providing high-level customer service to clients and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and negotiate deals for required services and materials for projects
  • Organize and oversee work of subcontractors and internal workers, ensuring compliance with plans
  • Beginning to end management of project delivery, coordinating all aspects required for efficient performance of the job: setup, equipment, supplies, materials, labor and complete clean up.
  • Identification and communication of any potential or current issues and challenges to the general manager
  • Responsible for requirements made by direct manager regarding the completion of projects
  • Ensure projects remain on time and on budget
  • Ensure project is delivered with high levels of quality and service

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, PMS
  • Must be skilled to read and analyze blueprints and construction drawings
  • Formal education in Project Management preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Construction Project Management is required
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License
