SUMMARY:

This position supports the project team with technical aspects of the job and administration.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Highschool / GED and three years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.

Responsibilities

Morris Inc’s job descriptions describe the key areas of responsibility, but do not attempt to describe all activities or areas of responsibility. In most cases the description covers approximately 80% of an individual’s daily, weekly or monthly job duties.

  • Work with the Project Manager and VP of Operations on routing and full execution of owners contract.
  • Work with Project Manager to coordinate procurement of all required permits to execute work.
  • Work with superintendent on procurement of required project and safety signage and OSHA postings for jobsite.
  • Facilitate all subcontractor prequalification requirements at the start of each project.
  • Be familiar with the Company policies on safety, EEO, labor, insurance, etc. and assist in their successful implementation.
  • Work with Project Manager and and Superintendent in setting up temporary construction services including trailers, temporary toilets, temp power and water, dumpsters, fence, etc.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Superintendent in development of all exhibits required for the subcontract. You shall have sole responsibility of the routing of all subcontracts once exhibits are completed. This includes the retrieval of signed scopes of work (ex. A) as well as signed subcontracts for final execution.
  • Work with Project Manager on development and sign off of any Owner and Subcontractor Change Orders.
  • Create and maintain Project Directory.
  • Collect and maintain all owner, subcontractor insurance and ensure that all policies meet the projects requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining contract documents and logs under the guidance of the Project Engineer: current drawings, historical drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, permits, clarifications and field sketches.
  • Insure that initial plans and specifications are issued to subcontractors and vendors, as well as to on-site staff.
  • Distribute any and all revised Contract Documents (drawings & specs) to all plan holders if requested by project team.
  • Collect and distribute superintendent daily reports including all Progress Project Photos if required by the project team.
  • Maintain the highest possible professionalism at all times and promote good relations and communications with all parties concerned with the job, including the public.
  • Recognize, report and solve problems in a creative, positive and constructive way and make recommendations for improvements in systems, procedures and policies.
  • Obtains, organizes and submits all Close Out document requirements including As-Built drawings, guarantees, warranties and required operating/maintenance instructions.
  • Assemble and prepare final record documents for the project at its conclusion and save them in the project drive folders.
