We’re currently seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our Headquarters team!
The Construction Project Engineer collaborates closely with Construction Managers to lead and oversee all major aspects of project execution, including reviewing project schedules and inspections, material and equipment sourcing, budget management, project document review, and bid documentation. As part of our in-house construction development team, this dynamic role is suited for a proactive, organized team player who excels in a deadline-driven environment and demonstrates outstanding oral and written communication skills. Responsibilities
  • Partner with Construction Managers to support the full lifecycle of construction projects, from initial planning and design through execution and project closeout, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Prepare Equipment lists (FF&E), coordinate purchase orders, and track shipments with procurement to secure timely delivery
  • Collaborate with internal and external project teams to develop and distribute progress reports on critical project milestones, equipment installations, and store opening forecasts
  • Enforce project guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and construction quality standards among external partners
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with vendor partners and internal stakeholder teams, creating agendas and presentations
  • Coordinate meetings, allocate resources, document meeting notes, and share pertinent information with relevant personnel
  • Review general contractor pay applications with Construction Managers to ensure supporting documentation is provided, and track applications with the accounting department.
  • Oversee the collection, review, and tracking of sworn construction statements and lien waivers from contractors and suppliers
  • Assist in project closeouts, punch list completion, warrant items, and compile comprehensive executive summary reports
  • Coordinate and facilitate administrative tasks in Procore with internal and external partners
  • Gather utility account information and transfer responsibilities to third party companies managing utility payments
