JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in construction management software, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in construction management or engineering roles is highly desirable.
  • Utility and 3rd Party coordination experience preferred
  • Experience on LA-based infrastructure or public works projects REQUIRED
  • Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the contractor.
  • Coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Utilize Bluebeam for document management, including reviewing plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Facilitate communication between team members, subcontractors, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports detailing project status, challenges, and solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and address any issues that may arise during construction.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, drawing logs, and meeting minutes
  • Assist with construction document tracking and updates
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents
  • Maintain proactive communication with contractors and designers
  • Coordinate field activities and daily inspections
  • Support permit expediting with LADBS, DOT, DWP, DPW, and other agencies
