OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent time management skills, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires proficiency in various construction management software and tools to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the last 15 years performing project management duties.
  • Proven track record of delivering at least one major project (value > $2M, excluding salaries/overhead) over a duration of at least 2 years.
  • University degree (PhD, graduate, or undergraduate) in a relevant field
  • Professional certification such as PMP, Prince2, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following project types:
  • Architecture-Engineering-Construction
  • Business Transformation
  • R&D / Innovation
  • Experience working in a project management role within a Canadian government setting is an asset.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual proficiency is an asset.

    Pay: $65,500.00-$90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects, including financial, planning, and contracting aspects.
  • Lead project teams, including contractors and support providers, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Prepare formal work breakdown structures and detailed project schedules.
  • Monitor project execution and ensure timely reporting of progress, risks, and issues.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, and HeavyBid for tracking, estimating, and reporting.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including contracts, change orders, and meeting minutes.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
