The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a construction project, from initial planning to final completion, ensuring it’s completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or additional years of experience, may be used in lieu of a degree.
  • 10+ years of construction project management experience
  • Technical experience, including work in Labs, Clean Rooms, and Data Centers
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and OSHA standards, and willing to take classes to further knowledge
  • A solid ability to review drawings and specifications for errors, vague information, or discrepancies
  • 4+ years of experience with coordinating building inspections, tests, and obtaining permits.
  • 4+ years of experience with program deliverables such as: progress report, schedule, cost control, quality control plan, and air quality plan.
  • Must have experience with managing subcontractors.
  • Must have experience with government contracting.
  • Background check required

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and updating project schedules, managing budgets, and ensuring the timely completion of tasks for a multi-million dollar project.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, manage their work scopes, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in overseeing day-to-day construction activities, monitor progress, and identify and resolve issues.
  • Work with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project success.
  • Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and ensure work meets project requirements.
  • Assist in obtaining all appropriate permits necessary to complete the assigned project in accordance with rules and regulations. Coordinate with local authorities for permits and inspections.
  • Ensure safety on the job site, enforce safety protocols, and monitor compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communicate with management, building manager, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues, manage conflicts, and ensure projects stay on track.
  • Manage materials, equipment, and labor resources, ensuring efficient use and timely delivery.
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Submit shop drawings and product data as stipulated in the project specifications, or as required by GSA, for acceptance prior to procurement of materials, installation, and constructions.
  • Responsible for assisting in developing all required contract deliverables such as: construction progress reports, construction schedule (MS Project and PDF), submittal logs, schedule of inspections and tests, quality control plan, and air quality plan.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining budgeting and cost control.
  • Assist in project closeout procedures and documentation.
  • Track expenses, approve invoices, and manage resources to keep the project within budget.
  • Ensure proper documentation, including permits, inspection reports, and daily logs, to support project compliance and accountability.
  • Complete and distribute daily reports and meeting minutes for each project that you are responsible for.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance close harmonious relationships with clients, architects, engineers, fellow employees, subcontractors, vendors, and local building officials.
