Commercial Construction Project Manager Needed to join the team in 2025
We are a commercial builder based in Ferntree Gully, looking to appoint a new entry level Project Manager to assist our existing team in running and coordinating projects.
Circon’s projects range from small refurbishments right through to new builds. We are the principle contractor working on retail, education, local government projects, medical and private projects. You can be expecting to run projects from supermarket refrig right up to a complete new stores or upgrading facilities in a sporting pavilion to demolition of an existing centre and building a new community hub.
Plenty to learn, training and guidance provided, established protocols and standard procedures and policies to keep projects running smoothly.
It is preferable, but not essential that you be tertiary qualified. Your remuneration package will reflect your experience and capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Well versed with reading plans and being able to define project scope
  • Reviewing and evaluating all project documentation and distributing plans and specifications
  • Vett sub contractor quotes and demonstrate good negotiation skills.
  • Establishing detailed construction program and updating regularly to suit site progress or scope change.
  • Letting sub-contracts and coordinating trades to meet the required construction program.
  • Coordinating all site activities with the site foreman and labourers taking into account requirements of the various interested parties including the architect, consultants, owners, tenant and subcontractors.
  • Manage and minute site meetings with clients and sub-contractors.
  • Controlling project budget, raising variations and progress claims
  • Ensure the projects are completed on time and within the budget
  • Co-ordinating incomplete and defect rectification works in a timely manner prior to practical completion or hand over.
  • Regularly liaise with the construction manager and senior management to confirm and update progress, budget and any changes to the scope of works
  • Have a good understanding of OHS requirements.

You will need to be efficient with MS Office Suite and experience with Procore or similar packages would be a bonus but not a requirement.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
