Construction Project Manager – Marine Division: Nass Contracting Location: Bahrain Role Summary The Construction Project Manager – Marine is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering marine construction projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role oversees all phases of project execution, including planning, procurement, resource management, construction activities, stakeholder coordination, and project close-out. The Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of marine construction projects in accordance with contractual, technical, and commercial requirements. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and cash flow forecasts. Coordinate marine construction activities, including marine infrastructure, quay walls, jetties, breakwaters, dredging, reclamation, marine piling, and offshore civil works. Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, local regulations, and international marine construction best practices. Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays, cost overruns, and operational challenges. Lead project teams, including engineers, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors, fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment. Coordinate procurement activities and ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, marine vessels, and subcontractor resources. Review and approve project methodologies, work plans, method statements, and construction sequences. Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. Manage client communications, consultant coordination, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Administer contracts, evaluate variations, manage claims, and support commercial negotiations. Identify opportunities for value engineering and continuous process improvement. Conduct regular project review meetings and ensure timely resolution of technical and operational issues. Oversee project commissioning, handover, documentation, and successful project close-out. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years managing marine infrastructure projects. Proven experience delivering projects such as ports, harbors, marine piling, dredging, reclamation, or offshore civil works. Strong knowledge of project management principles, construction methodologies, contract administration, and cost control. Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Strong commercial awareness with experience in budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and claims management. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are considered an advantage.
