Full job description

  • Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of construction projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Manage budgets, cost control, procurement, and financial reporting to ensure projects remain within scope.
  • Lead and supervise project teams including electricians, engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety compliance, and adherence to NZ building codes.
  • Prepare and review project documentation including SSSP, JSEA, permits, variations, and site instructions.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to maintain clear communication and resolve issues.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety at Work Act, electrical regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage project reporting, progress updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate handover, commissioning, and final inspections to deliver completed projects to client satisfaction.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical scopes of work across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Supervise electricians, electrical engineers, and trade assistants to ensure safe and compliant delivery.
  • Review and approve electrical drawings, schematics, single‑line diagrams, and load calculations.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with NZ Electrical Codes of Practice, AS/NZS 3000, and relevant regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify correct installation, cable routing, terminations, earthing, and equipment mounting.
  • Coordinate testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Manage procurement of electrical materials such as switchgear, cable, fittings, lighting, and protective devices.
  • Oversee upgrades, replacements, and maintenance of switchboards, metering equipment, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Identify electrical risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety and project continuity.
  • Prepare and review electrical documentation including SSSP, JSEA, permits to work, isolation plans, and compliance certificates.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, inspectors, and utility providers (e.g., Vector, Orion) for approvals and coordination.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of electrical progress, variations, defects, and commissioning outcomes.

Pay: $35.50 – $45.50 per hour
