Position Title: Construction Project Manager
Department: Development
Reports To: Vice President of Construction & Design
Location: Remote
Travel: Up to 10-15%
FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and successful turning over a space on time and on budget. This role includes site identification, evaluation, negotiation, and project management to ensure timely and cost-effective openings and refresh/remodels. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including real estate, construction, finance, and operations, to develop and execute strategies that support company growth.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 3-5 years of experience with a Franchisor
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Adobe Pro
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work, rapidly adapt to changing environment and possess strong work ethics.
  • Proven experience managing refresh, renovation, or interior fit-out projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and building systems.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules specific to refresh initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and contractors to define project requirements.
  • Conduct pre-construction site assessments to evaluate existing conditions.

Project Execution

  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Coordinate contractor schedules, material deliveries, and equipment use to align with project timelines.
  • Address unexpected challenges, ensuring that quality standards are maintained.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment with their vision and goals.
  • Provide regular progress updates, including budget tracking and timeline adjustments.
  • Facilitate stakeholder approvals for design modifications or scope changes.

Compliance & Quality Control

  • Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, lease requirements, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections during and after the completion of key project phases.

Budget & Risk Management

  • Monitor project expenses, ensuring alignment with budget forecasts.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
